  • US White House mandates new legal safeguards over access and use of personal data by federal agencies, bringing the EU-US data flow deal closer to reality

  • US FTC’s action against online retailer Drizly shows that the agency intends to enforce data minimization

  • EU’s European Council gives final approval to the Digital Services Act, which will start to apply 15 months after it enters into force
